Hello, @Mathivanan Elangovan. The reasoning behind removing (key id mode 0) key information fields is simple: using ASN as nonce, even with only one key, it will take ~523 years to expire (0xffffffffff x 15ms). But, I agree, maybe we could keep one additional byte for key index, wasting 6 bytes instead 5 when using security. Please, give your feedback in our mailing list for a proper discussion.
It seems like Key Index Field is removed? Device may have more than one key, by using this key index option and key source, device can choose the right key to decrypt the frame.
